Final Radio Script

In a world of economic crisis and austerity, where governments slash at public spending and hundreds of thousands mobilise against them (clip of protest chant), has regeneration completely come to a halt? Can Britain afford to carry on the with the Labour policies of redevelopment (sound clip of councillor) or will it be demolition for Britain’s most deprived areas (building sounds). Can these development plans save our cities from the dull 60s slump and bring them into the 21st century? From small mining village halls to city skyscrapers, from community centres to shopping plazas. Boom or Bust, regeneration in a world of crisis and austerity. Starts Thursday 7th April at 7:30pm. Only on Channel 4.
